The acting President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has not ruled out applying article 155 in Catalonia even with the Cortes dissolved. "It is a legitimate instrument," recalled the socialist leader, while pointing out that the Government does not threaten, but does "warn." He has urged the Catalan independence movement "not to make the most serious mistake that can be made: that of looking the other way if there are signs of violence." He did so in an interview in La Ser in which he also admitted that there is "risk of economic crisis in the world, in Europe and, therefore, in Spain."
