Yes it is true that Mario Kart has ALOT to do with skill, but as for the items, that would be pretty much ALL luck unless of course you're in usually 6th to 8th place and would get a Lightning Bolt or a Star.

or you could have an action replay and add the mkdd codes and use them but that would make everyone mad.

Yeah I have heard of that, but I have never used them nor do I have an Action Reply. What kind of codes/cheats are they?

there is one called stars last forever and there is another one that when you press the left d-pad you get starts for as long as you want.

yah, those codes are kinda cheap shots...but I used them when I play against kids. I give them the codes so they have at least half a chance... ;D
